While Destination Fredricksburg is attractive to some, my Objective leading this drive is to delight our MBCA Members with off the beaten path landmark Suspension Bridges, Texas spring flower bloom and a Garrison Distillery private tour, all certain to delight your senses.   These attractions are familiar from my repeat visits and are consistantly memorable.  My wife and I drove the route this same weeked in 2019 and were delighted with the good roads, bridges and a continuous carpet of wildflowers that, according to Wildseed Farms, had yet to peak.  I especially look forward to this time of year for mild weather, spring color and outdoor attractions. 

To enhance the experince we'll leave early Friday with stops at waypoints arriving in Hye Texas for a private tour of Garrison Brothers late afternoon and overnight stay nearby.  Saturday is yours to explore Fredricksburg, Stonewall, TX Wildflower, Albert, Lukenbach, Johnson City, Pedernales, Kerrville, and other points of interest nearby.  

0800 Friday March 27 -  Gather at Castle Hills Kroger Market Place, 4620 TX - 121, Lewisville, TX, 75056.  Located on the  Southwest corner of Josey and 121.  This is a good location to fuel up, bio stop, and provision for snacks to hold you over  until we stop for lunch hour in Llano at 1300 at Coopers.  

0830 -  Roll out as a group onto Sam Rayburn, Bush, and Chisolm Toll roads for Glenrose and points south. 

1200 -  Regency Suspension Bridge

1300 -  Coopers Pit BBQ

1530 -  Garrison Brothers Distillery Tour

The Garrison's Tour is included in Event Registration of $20pp. This is the best Distillery Tour this side of Bardstown, Lexington, and Louisville KY.  Lunch and Accommodations are on your own.  

Accommodations in the Fredricksburg area may be a challenge to secure, this is a popular time of year.  We will be staying in Stonewall at the Italian Place, near Hye.  Here are a few links to look into:
