Join the Mercedes-Benz Club of America Portland Section on Saturday April 10th for a scenic, spring drive through the Willamette Valley.  This is a two-part drive –you can join one or the other, or both!

The first (AM) drive will take us from a doughnut shop in the Clackamas/Happy Valley area through some of the Cascade foothills, and end at an establishment in the outskirts of NE Salem where lunch will be available (soup, sandwiches, pot pie and pastries). Along the way, we will cross two covered bridges, stop in the beautiful Molalla River Recreation Area, and drive some of the twistiest, turniest roads the section has traveled in some time.

The second (PM) drive will start where the first drive ended and take us through some less twisty, turny Willamette Valley farmland, across the Buena Vista ferry, and touch a few Coastal Range foothills before ending at Avery Park in Corvallis. Avery Park has a short wildflower trail along Mary’s River which should provide some native blooms for your viewing pleasure. On a recent pre-drive, the yellow wood violets were blooming, and the fawn lilies were just budding. (And yes – lots of daisies were spotted in the park lawns.) Pack those wellies – the trail is flat but muddy this time of year.

Masks and social distancing will be required when outside your vehicle.

Limited to 25 cars, RSVP required (see below).
