The 50th Anniversary of the legendary Mercedes-Benz R107 / C107 deserves a legendary drive. Join the Sacramento Section of the Mercedes-Benz Club of America for arguable one of the most beautiful drives on Earth. We'll begin our journey at Carmel-By-The-Sea, meeting at the Crossroads Carmel Shopping Center. We'll have roughly half an hour to mingle and check out the other R107's, and depart at 4:30 p.m., heading South on Highway 1.
Passing gnarled Montery cypress trees, we'll soon be driving along the Pacific Coast, and into Calla Lily Valley, before crossing the iconic Bixby Creek Bridge. We will then be passing the Point Sur Lighthouse, and continuing our drive all the way to Big Sur. Due to limited parking, participants can either meet up at the destination spot, Big Sur Station, or go off on their own to the various Big Sur restaurants such as Nepenthe.
This event will coincide with Monterey Car Week, and will be the night before Legends of the Autobahn, which will be held on Saturday, August 14th, 2021. When you arrive at our meeting spot at the Crossroads Carmel Shopping Center, we will have Griot's Speed Shine, as well as other products available, to make sure your SL looks its best.
