Paul Bowman

Last year the Pittsburgh Section was proud to present several Tech Webinars on Brake Systems led by our Gear Heads Coordinator Paul Bowman, his son Alex, who is an Automotive Engineer at Honda of America Manufacturing, and his son Ethan, who handled all of the video technology for the livestreaming from Paul’s garage. We have decided to keep this format as live-streamed events can reach a much bigger audience than face-to-face meetings in a restaurant or garage.

Our next Tech Webinar will be on January 8, 2022, at 1PM led again by Paul, Alex, and Ethan and streamed on Google Meets.

You can join the webinar by either clicking on this link:  meet.google.com/cvc-whfi-yfd, or if that doesn't work, by copying and pasting it into your browser search bar.

Please log in between 12:40P and 12:55P so we can help troubleshoot any technical issues you may be having before the webinar starts. If you run into problems, please e-mail [email protected]

While not mandatory, please RSVP to [email protected] if you plan to attend, so we can have a rough headcount. Also, please indicate of which club/chapter you are a member (this is a multi-club event).

Subjects to be covered:

Basic theory behind how cooling systems work
Key inspections to ensure they are performing at a peak level
Different types of coolant and choices in replacement parts
Maintenance, repairs and restoration of vintage as well as modern cooling systems
Troubleshooting overheating issues and leaks
Some alternative coolants, especially for classic-car enthusiast
