Southern Stars Section hosted a holiday dinner!
We hosted a holiday dinner at Classic Car Museum of St. Augustine, which included a catered meal and admission to tour the museum.
Membership Anniversary certificates and lapel / hat pins were presented to those in attendance. David Le Roy was presented with a certificate for 35 years of MBCA Membership. Sheldon Hofferman, Carlos Malpartida, and Robert Schlessinger were each presented with a 5 year anniversary certificate.
A Member of the Year plaque was awarded to Gene Gorman, and a Membership Director of the Year award for the Region was awarded to Gary Keener. Congratulations Gene & Gary!
The meal was crafted by Nonie’s Catering (Nonie Larson, Green Cove Springs) consisting of delectable appetizers such as garlic and Parmesan meatballs, mushroom stuffed mushrooms, and Margarita Shrimp followed by a delicious mixed berry salad w/mixed green, Edam cheese curls, praline nuts and homemade berry vinaigrette. The main courses were Chicken Piccatta and Mediterranean Salmon, and the sides were Parmesan Potato Soufflé and seasonal roasted vegetables. The deserts included an assortment of amazing pick-up deserts, and holiday cookies will also be available!
Thank you to everyone who was able to attend and share their Mercedes-Benz vehicles with us and donated toys at our holiday event. It was the best Toy Drive year we have had!

Which Mercedes-Benz will you share?
No official registration is needed, although we would appreciate a quick message if you would like to attend. In January, we will aim for the Central Lot, for those who can stay in that lot from 8am-11am, as it is restricted entry and departure area for pedestrian safety. If you are unable to remain for that time frame, consider parking in the Exhibit Lot to visit the event, come say hi to us, and depart as you need to.
